Offers 3200 acres of water for your enjoyment including a marina with boat rentals, slips and access ramps. You can fish, jet ski, camp, go swimming or just have a picnic. Carters Lake is the most beautiful unspoiled lake in Georgia!

As part of the Appalachian Trail Community, residents of Covered Bridge Estates in Ellijay can enjoy breath-taking hiking trails and witness nature at its finest at Bear Creek Trail, Tumbling Waters Trail, Oak Ridge Nature Trail and more!

Gilmer County's Chattahootchee National Forest Park

Whose natural resources include rivers, lakes, streams and hiking. Within a short distance of Ellijay you can golf, go wine tasting, and bicycle on more than 100 miles of bicycling trails that are maintained year round.

Amicalola Falls State Park

Found nearby are Amicalola Falls State Park with the highest waterfall east of the Mississippi, Fort Mountain State Park with an 855 foot mystery wall, the Cohutta Wilderness and the Rich Mountain Wilderness.
